What Have I Been Watching?

Honestly, I didn't think I would finish it this fast. Especially since all the other Sentai-related stuff me and my partner have watched (Power Rangers SPD/Time Force, Donbrothers and Gokaiger) all took weeks/months to finish! But honestly, King-Ohger was PEAK. Absolutely my favourite Sentai besides Donbrothers. It was also a much more serious Sentai than others, which I do love, but is why I would place it behind Donbrothers in my rankings. It still had some hilarious moments, of course. The highlights for me were definitely the fall and subsequent return of Racles, the introduction of Jeramie and his plotlines, and Kaguragi as a character. He's so scrungus.

The world felt incredibly well fleshed out, including the history of the five (and later, six) kingdoms, alongside the world itself, showed how much time and effort was put into the story. To go along with the world, the absolutely MASSIVE cast of side-characters was also amazing! It's nice to focus on the main characters and all, but getting to know the people who are affected the MOST by the conflicts caused by the Bugnarok (and later villains) is a great touch for an already great Sentai.

The suits this season were PEEEEAK! The bug theming was fun and lead to some great designs, especially with the helmets. My favourite suit designs this season were Rita's Papillion-Ohger due to its light violet colour and CLEEEEAN visor, and Gira's King Kuwagata-Ohger, because ofthe crown theming. And gold is awesome. The villains were all immaculately designed too, each with a fun insect-based twist that made them really stand out.

To finish the series off, the crossover with Avataro Sentai Donbrothers was AWESOME. Without getting into too much detail, that ending CRUSHED me. Personally an amazing high to end off King-Ohger with, alongside the Kyoryuger crossover which had an amazing new design for Gira's transformation.

I'm not really good with blog posts, especially since this is my first one, like, ever. But I'm glad my first one was on such a good show!
